Danger In The Woods *Second DELETED SCENE From Twilight!!!!*

I wish they would have left some of the Edward-in-a-sexy-white-jacket-scenes in the movie. I like this scene becauseit has the line, “I’m not the most dangerous thing out there.” *squeee!*

SUPER SPOILER ALERT!!!! *Extended Scenes From Twilight DVD!!!!!!!!*

So I just wrote that post about my reaction to one deleted scene without doing my research, and now I find out some extended scenes have been leaked. Thanks to the people at http://twicrackaddict.blogspot.com/, they have all been put together in one video up on youtube in one amazing incredible video.

I put a spoiler tag on here for those of you that want to wait and see these when you get your DVD, which I totally understand. But just to let you know, these are extended, not deleted scenes, so you aren’t seeing something you totally have never seen before, just slightly longer scenes you already have. But you you want to be completely unspoiled for your DVD, don’t watch the vid or read the rest of this post.

Without further ado, the video!

I’m just going to give my commentary for each scene in the order the video goes.

First, in the diner with Bella and her dad. They should have left some of this in, including the explanation of why Charlie eats at the diner all the time. This would explain Bella taking over the cooking at home, which was a big part of the book. I also liked Charlie talking about the Cullens, since some of the lines are straight from the book.

Next, when the bad vamps kill Waylon. This was only extended by a little bit, but I’m glad they left it out. Watching them bite him was a little cheesy to me. And while it was happening, he was moaning like…he was having sex (Try and get that image out of your head now).

Then MORE OF THE MEADOW!!!!!!!!!! Finally! It’s only a few seconds more, but I love it all. They definitely should have left this entire thing in. I watched from 5:18 to 6:37 like 5 times. Rob looks so hot, and they should never have cut any of his lines. Never cut any Edward, because he is the reason so many women paid to see this movie multiple times.

The Edward’s room scene is a good one too. Who else can make the emotion of bafflement look hot besides Rob? (7:10-7:13) I thought the journals thing was pretty cool, because I have kept journals all my life, even when I was in third grade, so imagine what someone 107 years old could write about?

I am glad they cut the rain stick thing. Chinchilla droppings? WTF? But I love the moment at 8:39 when Edward is like embarrassed by his music choice. It’s so cute.

The last scene before the baseball game they should have left in too. Rob looks hot in it (and just so you know, that will always be a legitimate justification to me for anything) and it he was reading Charlie’s mind.

So all in all, I don’t feel bad for watching these. I’m even more excited for the DVD now by getting a little taste of what’s to come.

OME OME First Revealed DELETED SCENE From Twilight!!!!

It’s two in the morning here y’all. I had been asleep, but I had a feeling I needed to get up and check Letters to Rob. Such a random intuition, but I’m glad I did because OME (Oh My Edward, for those of you not in the know) it’s a deleted scene from Twilight, and it is SEXY! I’m not just saying that because it has Rob/Edward in it, it is really sexual. I’m surprised Stephanie Meyer even allowed it to be filmed. (Maybe she was gone from the set that day?) Either way, I’m eternally grateful to whoever is responsible for this. Melissa Rosenburg, if you wrote this scene you are officially forgiven for the omissions in  Twilight. I take back everything I said about you. You are my new best friend.

OK here is the scene already up on youtube.

I don’t even know where to begin. This is so hot that my eyeballs are scorched. Ok, first the dialogue, so we can have a full understanding of just what is going on here.

Bella: Maybe my number was up when that van almost crushed me. You know? Maybe you’re just messing around with fate.

Edward: (says in the sexiest way possible) Bella, your number was up the first day I met you.

(Then he smiles the hottest smile in the world and playfully pulls Bella down to the ground with him.)

Now, it’s all very PG up until this point. Here is the point where this became high on the hotness scale, right up there with the kissing scene.

Bella: Do you really want a taste?

A taste? A TASTE?! Woah movie Bella!! The Edward in the book would hardly allow such liberties! But you totally went for it and for that, you deserve a medal. You just asked him the thing every woman who read the books wanted you to ask him (or wanted to ask him themselves).

But where book Edward would politely point out they should probably just talk instead, movie Edward replies with:

Edward: Yeaahh.

OME, OME. I am having a hard time breathing at this. If they had shown this in the movie, this is the point where my eyes would have widened, and my skin would have flushed at having to witness such sexiness in front of my mom. I’m so grateful this is on DVD, so I can enjoy it in the privacy of my own home. But the hot parts are not over.

(Bella places her finger IN HIS MOUTH and he bites down, causing her to close her eyes (in ecstasy?!) and moan out loud when he bites harder. She then TAKES THE FINGER OUT OF HIS MOUTH AND PUTS IT IN HER OWN MOUTH WHILE HE WATCHES!!!As she sucks on her finger, he says:…)

Edward: What a fragile little human. (sexy smile)

(BTW, this is what James said to Bella as he was trying to kill her, but who cares? Because when Rob/Edward says it, that is totally erased from my mind.)

Dear. God. I personally think they are crazy for taking this out of the movie. So many more people would have gone back to see this scene alone. I personally would have gone back maybe 9 or 10 times instead of  a measly 6.

As was said many times over in the hilarious comments at Letters to Rob (http://letterstorob.wordpress.com/2009/03/05/why-cant-this-be-me/), now Rob is never going to escape the “Will you bite me?” question. This 46 seconds has revived that with a robust vigor already, and this hasn’t even out a full 24 hours yet!

Access Hollywood will showing more of the deleted scenes as the DVD release date gets closer (I have my invite to Hot Topic for the midnight release party, thank you very much!). I don’t know if anything can top this in the hotness department, but I’m fully prepared to be proven wrong.

Also, rumor is this is one of Kristen’s favorite scenes. Hmmm, I wonder why?

New Moon Expectations *Spoilers Ahead*

This post is a little early (ok, like WAY early. Only 259 days left!) but I already have my expectations of what I need to see from the New Moon movie. I’m a little upset by the way certain things were missing from Twilight (like the “I love you”‘s. It wasn’t said by Edward or Bella ONCE!), so hopefully certain things are better in New Moon. You hear me, Melissa Rosenburg? These scenes better be PERFECT in the movie, or I (and many others) will hate you with the fiery passion of a thousand blazing suns.

First scene that better be there and done correctly, the dream Bella has in the beginning. This was the first time I cried reading New Moon (God knows it wasn’t the only time) because that image was so powerful to me, of beautiful and perfect Edward with his arms around a shriveled old Bella. Edward wouldn’t love her any less of course, but I knew that this was not what Bella wanted, and I was terrified for her because I thought this was a possibility. But honestly, who would rather get old and die than live forever with Edward? This would be an amazing scene for the movie to show the contrast between what Bella wants and what Edward wants.

Next, you know what’s coming. The birthday party. I wanna see Jasper go crazy and animalistic (Oh yeah baby. That’s going to be so sexy!). I want to see the fear and anguish Edward has over this because I need some justification for What Happened in Chapter 3 (this gets capitalized because you know how important it is).

Now the thing no one wants to see, but you can’t have the story without it. What Happened. The break up. Possibly the saddest break up in the world, and that is really saying something. This needs to be one of the most intense parts of the movie, because it is in the series. I will cry at this anyway, but this better translate on screen (Listen up, KStew, no frantic blinking and stuttering). I also want the “Time passes…” in there too. I will never forget the desolation I felt, how my heart just sank when I turned the page and it had month after month. I will never forget it because I have been there myself, when the world went on without me after I had my heart broken so cataclysmicly, and I watched will dull eyes and a dead soul. Those pages brought it all back for me.  It made me not want to read the book again, but I realized it needs to happen for the story, for Edward and Bella to really grow as people and to truly love each other. For all those reasons, it needs to be perfect in the movie.

I want to see Bella the zombie. When I read this part of the book, I am depressed and this effects my actual day to day life, it did especially that first time. This needs to happen in the movie, so that when Jacob comes in, there is a tangible feel of relief like you feel when you read about it.

I want to see Bella hear Edward’s voice in her head. This was the 3rd time I cried like a baby reading the book because that has also happened to me. Not the way it did with Bella where she thought Edward was talking to her, but I would have flashbacks of him out of no where. Once I was in the shower washing my hair, just minding my own business, and suddenly I heard him say in my head something he had always told me throughout our relationship. It was like he was right there, and it was so painful to me because what he had said so often obviously became not true after he left me. I was mad at my brain for doing that to me, but I still understood Bella’s need to hear Edward again and again. It was all she had left.

We need to see Bella and Jacob become close and how this effects her. She uses Jacob (and I’m sorry, but she does) to distract her from her misery, which is perfectly understandable to me. I want to see the motorcycles and the walk in the woods, all of it. As much as I can’t stand the fact that there was even a choice between Jacob and Edward, this needs to be as apparent in the movie as it is in the books.

I’m also looking forward to seeing Jacob go through his transformation. I had a feeling of foreboding when he went home early after the movies and then when he didn’t answer the phone for days, so this would be cool for the movie.

I will take the time right here to say, these special effects for the wolves better not suck. I was a little weirded out in Twilight with the way they did Edward’s sparkles. The first time on the rock was cool (shirtless Rob/Edward is something I will never complain about), but when he was laying in the meadow, the effect they used erased some of his features and he kind of looked like…a toad.

not a good angle

not a good angle

Edward Cullen should never remind me of an amphibian. Ever. So Summit, when you attempt this again, try for some better special effects, kthnx.

I want to see Bella cliff dive. This will be one of the coolest parts of the movie because it will be (to quote a certain evil vampire here) “visually dynamic” and this is the event that triggers so many other amazing events, like Alice coming back and everyone knows what that lead to.

The phone call. OMG the phone call. I wanted to jump through the book and KILL Jacob Black dead when that happened. We almost lost Edward because he wanted to be a jerk. For that, he cannot be forgiven.

I want to see in the movie everything that happened in the last few chapters of the book, from the mad dash to Italy on. Alice needs to have her awesome yellow Porchse, Bella needs to run screaming through Volterra, and Edward needs to be taking his shirt off. I want to see the tourists be lead to their deaths too because I’m morbid like that.

Finally, I want to see the most romantic thing I have ever read, when Edward explains to Bella the way he loves her. When I was reading New Moon out loud to Jeremy, I couldn’t read this part to him because I started crying. That happened to me a lot during their reunion, like when he told her, “When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy.” and when she mentioned she didn’t want to get old and he said, “You’ll always be the most beautiful thing in my world.”, that gets me every time, y’all. But here is the major thing I need to hear Edward/Robert say:

“Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars –points of light and reason….And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.”

I’ve made peace with the fact that I will be bawling like a baby in public when I go see this in the movies, so they really need to lay it on thick with all the emotion this movie will make all the Twilighters feel.

Lastly, the proposal. I wish there was some way they could go back and change the book so that Bella was a little more enthusiastic about it (I mean, come on. Edward Cullen is asking you to marry him, and you are worried about what other people will think?! Get your priorities right.) but I want to see him pour his heart out as he’s letting Bella know he’s back for good.

So I think I got everything. I will be eagerly awaiting any footage that leaks in the next few months that will let us know if all this is in there or not. I read today that Rob will back in Vancouver by the end of the week for filming, so hopefully that’s true!

30 Days to Go…

There is still a little more than a month before the DVD is released (can’t the days go by faster?) and so I wanted to share with you guys the scenes from the movie I cannot WAIT to view on my own T.V in my own home, where I can rewind again and again, and press pause as needed (like in the sparkling scene where his shirt is unbuttoned!) These are all in order as they happened. Oh, and if you haven’t watched the movie yet and want to be surprised, don’t read this, obvs. I’m showing clips below. In fact, if you haven’t read the book or seen the movie and want to, you shouldn’t read anything on this site. I don’t want to spoil you.

First up on my fave part list is the first appearance of Edward (in the cafeteria, not in the woods during the first minute of the movie). When I saw this for the first time during the midnight showing, the excitement over this scene was very apparent. Everyone collectively squeed and broke into applause at the same time. If you didn’t go, this is how people were conducting themselves in a public place because of a glimpse at Edward Cullen. You might want to turn your speakers down.

Anyway, this movie clip isn’t the best since it cuts off before one of the good parts (the sexy scowl he gives when he notices Bella looking at him), but I’m still happy it’s on youtube for my enjoyment. Also, Jasper makes me laugh in this clip.

Next is the first biology scene, when Edward was all bugging out. This clip first begins as Bella walks in front of the fan, and the Edward’s reaction as Bella’s scent blew toward him was priceless. As they say on the LTR,  it looks like he…http://letterstorob.wordpress.com/2008/12/11/this-really-never-happens-you-can-take-my-word/ But let’s be serious now. Edward wanted to kill her and hated her on sight. My favorite parts are at :43 and :51. He looks so sexy when he’s angry! I also love when he storms out past her in the office.

Next up is the OTHER biology scene, when Edward actually speaks to Bella for the first time and they are lab partners. I love this part for so many reasons. First, that “Hello” he gives her just slays me. So polite (human guys, take note). I also love Bella’s reaction, amazed that someone so beautiful is actually talking to her, and not only that, but wants to know as much as he can about her. How she made it through class without melting into puddle, I don’t know.

This particular clip is nice since it also includes the next best part of the movie, the van accident. I said in an earlier post that the chapter of the book when this happens is one of my favorite out of the whole series. I was really looking forward to seeing this in the movie, and I was not disappointed. I love the instant after it happens, when they both turn to look at each other with equal amounts of “WTF just happened?” looks (Rob also looks so freaking hot in this scene I can’t stand it).

This clip is a little shaky at first, and the entire time there is a guy with spiky hair (Edward?) at the bottom right.

Next is the second cafeteria scene where Edward tries to warn Bella away from him, saying one of the best lines EVER. “What if I’m not the hero, what if I’m the bad guy?” *SWOON* My mom had told me about this line before I had even read the book, and I was like, “That’s pretty hot.” before I even read it. It’s one of my favorite quotes from the whole series.

This clip kinda sucks because all I can find on youtube is the trailer that contained this clip.

Then there is the trip to Port Angeles, where Edward swoops down in his silver Volvo (now my dream car) and saves Bella. This was another part in the movie where everyone cheered out loud. I love this part because Edward is just so angry at the thought of Bella getting hurt, and I love when she tells him to put his seatbelt on and he laughs.

You know what’s next. The restaurant, the first date. Rob and Kristen do great in this one, and I love that Rob’s song “Never Think” is playing in the background. He reveals to her that he can read minds, (“Money, sex, cat”) but not hers. The part at 1:53 makes me want to cry because he’s so unhappy with what he is and he knows he should stay away from her, but he can’t  make himself do it. This scene is definitely one of the best.

Next up is the scene where Bella tells Edward she knows what he is. “Say it. Out loud.” I have a button from HT with that quote on it. This scene is great because Edward does pretty much everything he can to scare Bella away from him now that she knows, and she still doesn’t leave him.

We will not talk about the meadow scene since I was VERY upset at how we got jipped. There was a good chunk of the important dialogue between them missing. It’s a sore subject with me. Moving on..

My next favorite part is the baseball scene. If I had to choose, I would say this is my favorite part of the movie. I love the music, the action, the look on Edward’s face before he runs for the ball, all of it. It’s fun to see all the Cullen’s interacting as a family and having fun. I wish this scene had gone on longer, and the bad vamps didn’t show up until later.  Also, Jasper looks pretty damn hot when it’s his turn to bat. I know it’s going to pretty much impossible, but more Jasper in New Moon please?

***Edit***

Y’all, I forgot to put in the kissing scene. I don’t know is wrong with me. How could I have forgotten it? Thanks to Unintended Choice for pointing this out to me!

It should be pretty obvious why this one is the favorite of nearly every fangirl out there. First he says, “I just want to try one thing. Don’t move.” Then it takes them…f..o…r…e…v…e…r to actually touch lips. This was a very well acted scene but I have to say, if it was me, there would be no acting involved. This kiss was very intense. I felt slightly uncomfortable watching this while sitting by my mom when we went to the movies. The part when he throws her down on the bed…there are no words for that. It’s pretty much the hottest thing I have ever seen IN MY LIFE.

Finally, the prom scene. Edward/Rob looks hot in a tux (like there would be any doubt). The music as they are dancing is so sweet, it reminds me of a song at prom in the 50′s. It’s so beyond romantic when he lifts her up so she’s standing on his feet so they can dance. I love when he fakes her out and pretends he’s going to bite her but instead kisses her throat *swoon* (this clip doesn’t show that part, idk why) and when he says, “Is it not enough to have a long and happy life with me?”

So hopefully these clips are enough to tide us over for a month. I’m also hoping Twilight will hit the dollar theater we have nearby soon. They will seeing me around a lot.

Chapter Disscussions: Twilight, Chapter Three – Phenomenon

"...the van shuddered to a stop a foot from my face..."“…the van shuddered to a stop a foot from my face…”

Ok guys, we are on to one of my favorite chapters in the whole series. This is the point where everything between Edward and Bella changed. I love the title of this one, Phenomenon. Reading it for the first time gave me a little thrill because I could tell that something amazing was going to happening when I read on. I still feel that same excitement when I read this chapter now.

Once again, thanks to the awesome blog Lauren’s Bite and the forums at Twilight Lexicon!

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn’t used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn’t in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?

What I got from that is that Renee definitely loves Bella, and wants her to be safe, but she was so flighty that she never put real thought or action into how to actually take care of Bella. Charlie loves her the same amount, he’s just a more practical person.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

I had to re-read the actual accident part several times so I could get all the details right in my head. I also learned a few things when Bella was thinking about it later.

3. What did you think about Charlie’s response to the accident?

I thought he was a little over concerned, but I think about when I have kids, and if any of them almost got crushed by a van, I would probably react the same way too. I also wasn’t surprised when he called Renee. In the movie, when he threatened to take away Tyler’s licence, I thought that was pretty funny.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions

I thought he sounded dreamy of course, and I could tell he knew about Edward saving her, and he didn’t know what to think about that yet.

5. Did Edward’s cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

I knew he was mad at himself for saving her, but he didn’t regret it either. He was upset with her in a way like, “Look what you made me do.” because he wanted to deny that he had a strong need to save her. I also knew he was hoping she would brush it off and forget about it, so he tried to act cold toward her so she wouldn’t ask him any more questions about it. Needless to say, I was intrigued.

We were a little late on posting this, so we will do another Chapter Discussion very soon!

-Whitley

Alrighty, time for round 3, or as the French say “tres”.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn’t used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn’t in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?

Renee doesn’t think things through.  Charlie does, plain and simple.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

I think I got it all the first read through, but I’m about to be re-reading, so maybe I will pick something up that is new.

3. What did you think about Charlie’s response to the accident?

He acted exactly as I would if my daughter was in the same situation.  Freaked out, pissed, and very concerned.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?

BAD ASS.  He is the essence of cool.  I feel that if the book was about his life, the following would still be just as great as it is with Bella and Edward.

5. Did Edward’s cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

I understood his comments, he was pissed, he wished he could have had her killed.  Think about Midnight Sun for a moment.  “I knew what had to happen now. The girl would have to come sit beside me, and I would have to kill her.” This was only days before he was stopping a van from squishing her.  It is probably best that he did save her, though.  He might have gone for her blood once it had spilled… Jasper too.

Thanks for reading.
